The host Raiders fell to 5-3 overall and were handed their first conference loss at 3-1 in the GNAC.
GNAC Player of the Week Kristen Tuleja (Mansfield, Mass.) tallied a game-high 4 goals to lead the way for Emmanuel. Freshman attack Emily Baker (Stratham, N.H.) notched two goals, while Sarah Wootten (Berlin, Md.), Sarah Higgins (Groveland, Mass.), Amanda Cook (Saco, Me.) and Alexia Basile (West Hartford, Conn.) each recorded one goal in the win for the Saints. Wootten and Higgins combined for 11 groundballs, while Higgins and Tuleja each won two draw controls.
An own-goal opened things up for Rivier and EC held a 1-0 lead just two and a half minutes into the action. The Raiders quickly responded and knotted the game at 1-all. The Saints then went on an unaswered five-goal run, including two markers from Tuleja, to take a 6-1 lead. Two Riv goals would cut the hosts' deficit to 6-3 at the break.
Emmanuel owned the second frame and all of the scoring for the remainder of the night. The Saints rattled off another spree of five-consecutive goals to pull away with the 11-3 win.
Sophomore goalie and GNAC Goalie of the Week Lauren White (Lynnfield, Mass.) earned the win in net for the Saints, making 9 stops on her 12 shots faced.
The Saints will return home on Thursday night to host the Beavers of UMaine Farmington in a non-conference game, slated to begin at 7:00 PM under the lights on Roberto Clemente Field.
