AS A JUNIOR...Kirwan transferred into Emmanuel College and started in all 26 of her games played....led the Saints in scoring and was 6th in the GNAC with 14.5 points per game ...was second on the squad in rebounding with 6.3 boards per game...ranked 2nd in the GNAC in field goal percentage by shooting 50.2% from the floor (140-279) throughout the year...was named the GNAC Player of the Week three times (2/7, 2/14, 2/28)...was named to the GNAC Weekly Honor Roll twice (12/14 and 1/17)...set a new Emmanuel and GNAC record for single game field goal % (10-10) vs. Mount Ida on 2/12/11...voted GNAC 1st Team All-Conference...named the GNAC Tournament's Most Valuable Player and one of Emmanuel's Co-MVPs...received GNAC Academic All-Conference honors...dished out 84 assists and collected 74 steals (5th in the GNAC), while helping to lead the Saints to a 21-8 overall record, an undefeated GNAC mark (12-0), the program's 13th GNAC Championship and 16th NCAA Tournament appearance, and to Emmanuel's 11th straight 20-win season...named one of the team's co-captains for the 2011-12 season.
AS A SOPHOMORE...Kirwan started in 10 of
her 25 games played for the Riverhawks at the UMass-Lowell...scored
90 points during the season, averaging 3.6 points per
game....grabbed 80 rebounds...collected 30 steals...dished out 17
assists, as the team went 16-11 on the season.
AS A FRESHMAN...Kirwan played in 20 of 27 games
off the bench for the River Hawks...her season-highs included 11
points in a 67-64 win at St. Anselm, three assists in a 68-63 loss
at Bloomfield, three steals twice during the season, first in a
90-51 win over Mercy and again in the 67-64 win at St. Anselm.
BEFORE EMMANUEL...Kirwan was a four-year player at
Melrose High School (Melrose, Mass.) for coach Rob
Ferrante...captained the team as a senior...selected a two-time
Middlesex League All-Star... helped Melrose win four consecutive
Middlesex League championships as well as an MIAA Division II North
Championship...helped her team advance to the MIAA Division II
North finals twice and to the Eastern Mass finals in 2007...was
voted the Middlesex League Most Valuable Player as a
senior.
