MEN'S LACROSSE POSTS 14-10 ROAD WIN OVER RIVIER
NASHUA, N.H. - The Emmanuel College men’s lacrosse team stayed perfect in Great Northeast Athletic Conference action with a 14-10 victory over Rivier University Wednesday evening at Raider Field. Rivier moves to 7 – 5 overall, 1 – 3 GNAC, while the win takes Emmanuel to 5 – 7 and 4 – 0 GNAC.

The Saints never trailed, jumping out to a 2-0 lead in the first six minutes of action and never looked back. EC led 5-2 after the first quarter and 8-4 at the break. The Raiders showed signs of life in the third, outscoring Emmanuel 4-3 in the period to cut the lead to 11-8 heading into the final frame but the Saints responded outscoring the hosts 3-2 in the final quarter to seal the 14-10 win..
The visiting Saints were paced by Chris Curtis (SR, Ashland, MA), 3 goals, 3 assists, 10 shots on goal, and 1 ground ball; Charlie Moran (SO, Maitland, FL), 3 goals and 5 shots on goal; Michael Donovan (SR, Assonet, MA), 2 goals, 1 assist, 2 shots on goal, and 5 ground balls; and Tony Cibelli (JR, Westboro, MA); 2 goals, 1 assist, 4 shots on goal, and 1 ground ball. Senior Nick DelMonaco (Billerica, Mass.) scored his first goal of the year while junior Donnie Litzelman (Stratham, N.H.) added 2 goals and 1 assist.
Rivier had strong performances from Liam Ryan (SO, Dorchester, MA), 3 goals, 1 assist, 4 shots on goal, and 5 ground balls; Kyle Graham (SR, Londonderry, NH), 1 goal, 1 assist, 1 shot on goal, and 3 ground balls; Ryan Coombs (SO, Derry, NH), 3 goals and 5 shots on goal; Tyler Tambouris (SO, Hooksett, NH), 1 goal, 2 assists, 2 shots on goal, and 2 ground balls; and Joe Kelland (SO, Watertown, MA) 1 goal, 2 assists, 3 shots on goal, and 1 ground ball.
Clark Plummer (SR, Londonderry, NH) made 17 saves in net for the Raiders. For the Saints, Austin Rosenberg (SO, Ronkonkoma, NY) recorded 9 saves.
Next up for the Raiders is a trip to Anna Maria College for a GNAC tilt on April 16th, at 1:00 pm. Emmanuel returns to action April 16th as well, traveling to Johnson & Wales University at 1:00 pm.
