SAINTS DOWN DANIEL WEBSTER IN MEN’S LACROSSE ACTION, 17-0
BOSTON, Mass. – The Emmanuel College men’s lacrosse team powered past Daniel Webster College, 17-0, Thursday evening in Great Northeast Athletic Conference action at Roberto Clemente Field. The Saints extend their winning streak to a program-record five games and improve to 5-3 on the year and 3-0 in the GNAC while the loss dips the Eagles to 0-4 and 0-4 in conference play.

The Saints extend their winning streak to a program-record five games and improve to 5-3 on the year and 3-0 in the GNAC while the loss dips the Eagles to 0-4 and 0-4 in conference play.
EC set the tone early on, scoring four goals in the first 2:03 of the action including a pair of markers by sophomore middie Michael Rogers (New Haven, Conn.). Rogers made it 5-0 with his third score of the game at the 8:03 mark before rookie attack Tommy Dion (Westwood, Mass.) got on the board with his fourth goal of the year to make it 6-0.
18 seconds later, sophomore attack Kalie MacLean-Daley (Moretown, Vt.) made it 7-0 finishing a feed from freshman attack Tony Cibelli (Westboro, Mass.). Cibelli got into the scoring mix with his seventh goal of the year to make it 8-0 before junior attack Ryan Sabuda (Indianapolis, Ind.) made it 9-0 with 4:04 left in the opening quarter.
Sophomore middie Chris Curtis (Ashland, Mass.) made it a double-digit lead with a goal with 1:30 to play in the first before freshman attack Donnie Litzelman (Exeter, N.H.) registered his first collegiate goal to put the Saints on top 11-0 heading into halftime.
Litzelman opened the second quarter with another goal to make it 12-0, converting a fast break goal assisted by freshman defender Chris Baglivi (Mattituck, N.Y.). Unassisted scored by sophomore middie Justin Kelly (Collegeville, Pa.), senior attack Brian O'Regan (Milton, Mass.) and Cibelli made it 15-0 before Litzelman capped the half's scoring at the 2:41 mark to make it 16-0 heading into the break.
Following a scoreless third quarter, EC junior attack Evan Dolber (Malden, Mass.) netted the game's final goal with 2:30 left in the action to account for the 17-0 final.
EC junior middie Jake Pickett (Stratham, N.H.) won eight of nine faceoff's and scooped up a team-high five groundballs in the win. DWC junior Andrew Leon (Leominster, Mass.) won a team-best two faceoffs.
Emmanuel outshot Daniel Webster 43-5 on the night as junior goalie Austin Lauzier (Bedford, N.H.) made one save for the win before junior Justin Byers (Indianapolis, Ind.) relived him for the final three quarters, not allowing any goals.
Eagles starting goalie Curtis Larade (Merrimack, N.H.) made 10 saves in the first half while freshman goalie James Bushey (Hamden, Conn.) made one save in the second half.
The Saints return to action on Saturday when they host Anna Maria College at 12:00 PM in another GNAC match up while the Eagles play at Saint Joseph's College (ME) the same day at 1:30 PM.
