STRONG 2ND HALF LIFTS MEN’S LACROSSE PAST ALBERTUS MAGNUS, 14-4
BOSTON, Mass. – The Emmanuel College men’s lacrosse team scored 10 unanswered goals to open the second half en route to a 14-4 Great Northeast Athletic Conference victory over Albertus Magnus College Wednesday evening at Roberto Clemente Field. The win lifts the Saints to a 3-3 overall record and 1-0 GNAC slate while the loss drops the Falcons to 0-2 overall and 0-1 in the GNAC.

The win lifts the Saints to a 3-3 overall record and 1-0 GNAC slate while the loss drops the Falcons to 0-2 overall and 0-1 in the GNAC.
In a highly competitive first half, the Saints found themselves ahead 4-2 heading into the halftime intermission. Sophomores Justin Kelly (Collegeville, Pa.) and Kaile MacLean-Daley (Moretown, Vt.) notched first quarter goals for EC before junior attack Evan Dolber (Malden, Mass.) made it 3-0 early in the second quarter with a man-up goal.
Albertus Magnus got on the board with 8:56 to play in the half as freshman attack Brennan Moore (Meriden, Conn.) netted his second goal of the year to cut the lead to 3-1. EC junior attack Ryan Sabuda (Indianapolis, Ind.) registered a man-up goal at the 3:35 marker to make it 4-1 but the Falcons would cap the half's scoring 18 seconds later as Moore fed sophomore attack Mike Choiniere (Bethany, Conn.) for a score to account for the 4-2 halftime total.
Emmanuel outscored the Falcons 8-0 in the third quarter to take control of the visitors first-ever GNAC contest. Sophomore middie Chris Curtis (Ashland, Mass.) scored three times, sophomore middie Michael Rogers (New Haven, Conn.) and MacLean-Daley scored twice and junior middie Jack Ruggiero (Manhasset, N.Y.) capped the quarter's scoring to give EC the 12-2 advantage heading into the fourth.
The Saints made it 14-2 with goals from senior attack Brain O'Regan (Milton, Mass.) and Rogers before Moore closed out the game with a pair of man-up goals for the Falcons to account for the 14-4 final.
EC outshot the Falcons 63-11 in the win.
Junior goalie Austin Lauzier (Bedford, N.H.) made three saves for earn the win while junior Justin Byers (Indianapolis, Ind.) made two stops in relief. For Albertus, freshman Brandon Scicchitano (Norwalk, Conn.) made 12 saves in 57 minutes of action before being relieved by freshman Tucket Johns (Montville, Conn.)
The Saints return to action on Saturday afternoon when they head to Nashua, N.H. to face Rivier University at 1:00 PM while the Falcons is back in action tomorrow when they host the program's first-ever home game against Lyndon State at 3:00 PM in New Haven, Conn.
