2014 MEN'S LACROSSE SEASON IN REVIEW

BOSTON, Mass. – The Emmanuel College men’s lacrosse team put together the greatest season in the program’s brief three-year history as a varsity sport, wrapping the 2014 campaign with a 15-4 overall recording including a 10-0 mark in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference. The Saints captured the program’s first-ever GNAC Championship to earn an NCAA Tournament berth before falling to the eventual national champion, Tufts.

O’REGAN NAMED TO NEILA EAST SENIOR ALL-STAR TEAM

BOSTON, Mass. – Emmanuel College senior attack Brian O’Regan (Milton, Mass.) has been named to the New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) East D-III Senior All-Star team, it was announced by the regional chair Tim Murphy earlier today. This marks the first time in program-history that a Saint has earned recognition on an NEILA All-Star team.

BOSTON, Mass. – Several members from the Emmanuel College men’s lacrosse team landed spots on the Great Northeast Athletic Conference All-Conference teams, it was announced by the Conference office last week.

RECORD-SETTING MEN’S LAX SEASON ENDS WITH 1ST ROUND NCAA LOSS TO TUFTS

MEDFORD, Mass. – Emmanuel College’s 15-game win streak and record-setting 2014 men’s lacrosse campaign came to an end on Wednesday afternoon, when the Saints suffered a 24-2 loss to No. 6-ranked Tufts University in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament. Fourteen Jumbos scored goals as Tufts cruised past the Saints in first round action from Bello Field.

MEN’S LACROSSE TO PLAY AT TUFTS IN 1ST ROUND NCAA GAME

BOSTON, Mass. – The Emmanuel College Men’s Lacrosse Team has received its first round NCAA Tournament match-up. The Saints will face Tufts University in the opening round of the national tournament on Wednesday, May 7th. The contest will take place at Tufts University’s Bello Field at 3:30 PM.

VIEW THE NCAA DIVISION III LACROSSE SELECTION SHOWS LIVE

The Emmanuel College Men's and Women's Lacrosse Teams will be making their programs' inaugural trips to the NCAA Division III national tournament this week. Both teams will play first round games on Wednesday, May 7th. The Saints will find out their first round opponent this Sunday night, May 4th.

LAUZIER RECEIVES SECOND ECAC WEEKLY NOD

BOSTON, Mass. – Emmanuel College’s junior men’s lacrosse goalie, Austin Lauzier, has been named the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season. Lauzier’s most recent honor came after leading the Saints to the program’s first-ever Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championship in a 9-3 win over Becker College on Sunday.

HOMETOWN PRESS FOR BAKER, LITZELMAN, MERRIGAN

Three freshmen Emmanuel College lacrosse players received local hometown press this week, after helping the Saints win back-to-back Women’s and Men’s Lacrosse conference championships on Saturday and Sunday. Seacoastonline.com published a pair of feature stories, touting the accomplishments of a trio of EC rookies, including men’s attack Donnie Litzelman (Exeter, N.H.), women’s attack Emily Baker (Stratham, N.H.) and women’s midfielder Abaigeal Merrigan (Rye, N.H.).

EMMANUEL WINS FIRST GNAC MEN’S LACROSSE TITLE

BOSTON, Mass. – The Emmanuel College men’s lacrosse team erased an early deficit to defeat Becker College, 9-3, claiming the program’s first-ever Great Northeast Athletic Conference championship. In just their third season of varsity competition, the Saints improve to 15-3 on the year including a 15-game winning streak to earn the automatic qualifier into the 2014 NCAA DIII Men’s Lacrosse Championship. The Hawks fall to 13-5 on the year.

SAINTS CRUISE PAST CADETS; STORM INTO GNAC FINALS

BOSTON, Mass. – The top-seeded Emmanuel College Men’s Lacrosse Team took care of the 4th-seed and defending GNAC Champion Cadets of Norwich University, 11-2, in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) semifinal action on Friday night. With the win, the record-setting Saints improve to 14-3 on the season and will advance to host the GNAC Championship game on Sunday afternoon. The loss eliminated Norwich from the conference tournament, as the Cadets fall to 8-10 on the year.

PRESS FOR EMMANUEL'S CURTIS, CIBELLI IN BOSTON GLOBE

BOSTON, Mass. - Emmanuel College's Chris Curtis and Tony Cibelli received some press today in the Boston Globe's Metro West section. The pair, hailing from Ashland and Westborough, respectively, have combined for 76 points this year to lead the Saints Men's Lacrosse Team. The two rank first and second on the Emmanuel squad in total points this season. Curtis' 39 points and Cibelli's 17 assists are both new single-season program records for Emmanuel. Following their 13-3 GNAC Quarterfinal win over Johnson & Wales University last night, the top-seeded Saints (13-3) will now host No. 4 Norwich University (8-9) on Friday night (4/25) at 7:00 PM in the GNAC Semifinals.

MEN’S LAX DOWNS JWU IN GNAC QUARTERFINALS, 13-3

BOSTON, Mass. – The Emmanuel College men’s lacrosse team downed Johnson & Wales University, 13-3, Wednesday evening in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Quarterfinals at Roberto Clemente Field. The Saints extend their program-record winning streak to 13 games and improve to 13-3 on the year while the loss ends the inaugural season at 4-13.

NEWTON, Mass. – The Emmanuel College men’s lacrosse team stayed perfect in Great Northeast Athletic Conference action, downing Lasell College 8-7 in a battle of the unbeaten teams to close out the 2014 regular season.

SAINTS MARCH PAST MONKS, 8-3

PORTLAND, Maine – Emmanuel College preserved its perfect Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) record with an 8-3 victory over Saint Joseph’s College at Deering Memorial Stadium on Wednesday evening. With the win, the Saints Men’s Lacrosse Team improved to 11-3 on the season and 9-0 in GNAC action. Saint Joe’s dropped to 5-7 overall and 4-5 in the league with the loss.

LAUZIER, BAGLIVI, MACLEAN-DALEY RECEIVE GNAC WEEKLY HONORS

BOSTON, Mass. – Three members of the Emmanuel Men’s Lacrosse Team were recognized with Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) honors this week after leading the Saints to crucial conference wins over Norwich University and Becker College last week. The pair of victories helped the Saints to remain unbeaten at 8-0 and in a tie for first place in the conference standings, as we enter the final week of regular season action.
