Sunil Kates joined the Emmanuel athletic staff in the summer of 2017 as an Assistant Coach for the Cross Country and Track & Field programs.

Kates earned his Associates Degree in Criminal Justice from Roxbury Community College in 2014 followed by a Bachelors Degree in Sociology/Criminal Jusitce from Southern Connecticut State University in 2017.

While at Southern Connecticut, Kates worked as a Track & Field Intern during the spring 2017 season, working directly with the Owls coaching staff including eight-time East-Regional USTFCCCA Coach of the Year, John Wallin.

The 2017 SCSU graduate currently works full-time in the Security field and resides in Dorchester, Mass.
