SAINTS PREPARE FOR NEW ENGLANDS WITH STELLAR EFFORT AT REGIS

HIGHLIGHTS
Senior Chloe Pangonis (Keene, N.H.) finished first the 800m with a new program record of 2:26.27. Senior Julie Roberts (Williamsburg, Mass.) won the 5K with a time of 19:48.19 which was a 24 second improvement from her previous best.
The Saints also swept the women's high jump with junior Ashley Brooks (Danvers, Mass.) placing 1st at 5'0.25", and freshmen Angelica Czercowy (Hebron, Conn.) and Devan Phillips (North Kingstown, R.I.) clearing 4'8.75".
On the men's side, junior Ian Chamenko (Beacon Falls, Conn.) continued his excellent spring season with a first-place finish in the steeplechase (10:13.10). His classmate, Cameron Anderson (Watertown, Mass.), tied his own school record in the shot put, throwing 12.59m.
Both 4x800m relay teams won their respective events, with the men, (Hebert, Chamenko, Zannoni, Tallo), finishing in 8:47.18, and the women, (Boyle, Varca, Pangonis, Holmberg), finishing in 4:23.29.
WOMEN'S RESULTS
Senior Zoe Pierce-Dickens (Franklin, Vt.) led off the second-place 4x100 relay team that qualified for DIII New Englands, while also placing in both of her individual events.
Joining Pierce-Dickens in the 4x100 race were junior Micaela Fraccalossi (Plymouth, Mass.) and freshmen Jordyn Gonsor (Springfield, Mass.) and Mark Nahorniak (Chicopee, Mass.). The foursome finished the race in 52.99 seconds.
Nahorniak also competed in the 100m hurdles, posting a personal-best time of 17.12 seconds, tying for third.
Pierce-Dickens (62.36s) and Gonsor (63.63s) placed fourth and fifth in the 400m event, while Fraccalossi earned fourth in the 100m dash (13.35s).
A group of Emmanuel freshmen showed promise for the future at the meet, as Katherine Holmberg (Easton, Mass.) took second in the 1500m (5:10.85), and Mimi Duncan (Portsmouth, N.H.) placed fourth in 5:15.82, both with personal best times.
Reilly Boyle (Wells, Maine) earned a fourth-place finish in the 800m run, crossing the line in 2:33.59.
Carly Jones (Lake Placid, N.Y.) and junior Katherine Zombik (Holyoke, Mass.) also finished fourth in her respective events, Jones with a triple jump of 30'2" and Zombik with a javelin throw of 85'4".
MEN'S RESULTS
Seniors Tom Tallo (Lincoln, R.I.) and Corey Hebert (Acushnet, Mass.) finished fifth and sixth in the 800m run, Tallo posting a time of 2:06.73, and Hebert finishing in 2:07.80.
Anderson followed his shot put performance with a sixth-place discus throw of 98'3".
WHAT'S NEXT
A group of Saints will head to Springfield College next weekend to compete in the New England DIII Championships. Brooks (High Jump) and Chamenko (3000m Steeplechase) will represent Emmanuel in individual competitions, while the previously mentioned 4x800 and 4x100 women's relay teams will also compete.
