FALL ATHLETIC SCHEDULES RELEASED
July 18, 2011
As the 2011-2012 athletic seasons quickly approach, Emmanuel has released the schedules for the seven Saints teams competing this Fall. Many of the Emmanuel squads will play their largest schedules to date, with the conference's addition of Anna Maria College as the GNAC's 14th institution. With five of the seven Emmanuel teams kicking off competition on Labor Day Weekend, the Saints are set for what is shaping up to be an exciting start to the new athletic season.
The Emmanuel College Women's Volleyball Team will max out with 22 dates of competition for the regular season in 2011. These dates include two 2-day tournaments, with Emmanuel opening up the season at the Oneonta State Invitational and then playing in the Brandeis University Invitational two weeks later. The Saints will have to battle through a very competitive regular season schedule, but hope to return to the NCAA Tournament this year after a four-year hiatus. Emmanuel previously won consecutive GNAC titles in 2004, 2005 and 2006.

The Emmanuel Women's Soccer Team will also play the maximum of NCAA allowable contests in 2011. This marks the first time in program history that the Saints have played a 20-game regular season schedule. After winning GNAC Championships in 2003 and 2007, the Women's Soccer Team has made ECAC Tournament appearances in two out of the past three years. This Fall, the Saints will look to win their third conference title. Emmanuel opens up the season on September 3rd in the Husson University Classic in Bangor, Maine.
2011 Emmanuel Women's Soccer Schedule
The Emmanuel Men's Soccer Team will play 19 games in 2011, an increase from 17 regular season games last year. With the program established in 2002, the 19-game schedule is the largest to date for a Saints Men's Soccer Team. The 2010 Emmanuel squad made the program's 4th-appearance in the conference tournament. The Saints will be seeking their first-ever GNAC title this season. Along with the Women's Soccer Team, the Emmanuel men will open the season on September 3rd in the Husson University Classic in Bangor, Maine.

The 2010 GNAC Cross Country Coach of the Year Tony DaRocha has the Emmanuel Men's and Women's Cross Country Teams poised to run in six regular season meets this year, including hosting the 7th Annual Saints Invitational. Emmanuel will also co-host (along with Emerson College) the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Championship Meet at Franklin Park. Hosting the GNACs is a first for the Emmanuel Cross Country program. Last season, the EC men finished 2nd and the women placed 4th out of the 12 competing teams in the GNAC Championship. The Saints open the season on September 3rd in the Fens Classic, when Emmanuel will compete against three other teams, with the meet finishing on the track at Roberto Clemente Field.
